Some basic note about working with us on a TF shoot:

This is a new series we would like to start with tons of motion using an industrial fan and weaving tissue streamers through the grate cover. The model will be positioned in the the midst of the blowing streamers. Using a variety of exposures, apertures and shutter speed we will be able to capture the motion of the streamers while keeping the model crisp and in focus. The images coming out of this shoot will vary from implied nudes to nudes depending how the wind blows the streamers. Even with the heat on in the studio this will be a chilly shoot and a nice warm robe and slippers will be on-hand and frequent breaks wil be taken to warm and keep the comfort level of the shoot…..bbrrrr!

There are two areas of bodypainting we are concentrating on at this time. First is the Human Statue Project, this involves painting the model from head to tow with a white body paint, the photographing them agains t a gray or black background in various statuesque poses. The second is using a series of bodypaintings and make-up items to create a colorful abstract art project out of the human body. In both of these scenarios the model needs to be comfortable being nude and having paint rolled onto their body with small hand rollers. The process usually takes about an hour to apply and 30-45 minutes to wash off, a typical body painting shoot takes about 3 hours total.

How well can you hold a pose? Painting with light entails complete darkness, long exposure times and a model who can be extremely still as I use a variety of light sources and “Paint” the image over or around her. I use many different forms of light with this method, including flashlights, glowsticks, anything where I can create movement. The resulting images from this technique can range from a dismal failure to something incredibly extraordinary and part of the excitement of painting with light is not knowing exactly what you have until the image is processed and finally reviewed on screen.

We have created many images in our series of Bodyscaping with Miniatures, there are more examples available on our Art Works page or in our Online Store. This is a favorite genre for us and it seems every time we turn around we are finding more and more items to create a Bodyscape scene from. This is another shoot where the model needs some staying still abilities and depending on the complexity of the scene it can take 20-30 minutes just to set up before any shooting can begin.
If you are a model who would like to try shooting nudes but haven’t found the right fit for you to take the plunge, a bodyscaping shoot with us would be perfect jumping off point. No faces are included in these shots, we keep all of the poses tasteful, and the posing consists of lying around while we create the scene with the miniatures.

This is a new series we would like to start and would love to find someone with dancing abilities. The style of the shoot would be tailored to the style of dance you are. Are you a ballet dance, then we would use ballet shoes and a cloth color to match. Maybe you specialized in tap and along with some styling socks, shoes and a hat we will use a black cloth for the motion affect. All styles of dance are welcome!

There is always room for more Fine Art Nudes in anyones portfolio, especially if you are extraordinarily flexible or have some creative posing ideas. These are shoots which can be done within the studio or on location and require only a camera, a flash or two, a willing model and as much creativity as this mister can muster, sister!
If you are unsure of what a Fine Art nude is, you will find there are no universally accepted definitions of the exact phrase or even it’s related terms “art photography”, “artistic photography”, and “fine art photography”, so the best way to explain what it is might just be to show someone our work or to give props to one of the very best at Fine Art posing Brooke Lynne. If I were to give it a try I would say, the crazier the pose the better, the wilder the angle the sweeter, the more interesting the shadows the, well more interesting…

This is definitely an advanced style shoot and not one for the timid. This is First Amendment gorilla style shooting at it’s best. Get in, get the shot, get the hell out. When shooting in this style safety is always the main focus. We will be searching for areas which are in public, yet are people and camera (except mine) free. This will ensure we are not offending some unsuspecting bystander and provide an area we can concentrate on getting the shot.
If we could pull off a shoot with hundreds of people in the style of Spencer Tunick - now that would be an ultimate goal!

There is something about rope and the body that can be mysterious, beautiful, and artistic. Using a variety of rope types and chain styles the possibilities are endless. If you are looking for something in your portfolio beyond the normal, on the edge than this might be the shoot for you.

This theme was Lady Gaga inspired and has produced some amazing images from the previous shoots. Are you looking for something Extreme Glam? Then this is would be the shoot for you. The set-up time for this shoot is similar to a bodypainting shoot as it takes a fair amount of time to glue the rhinestones across the body.
